Title: Supply Chain Planner
Location: Muncie, IN - 100% onsite
Hire Type: Contract to hire
Shift: 1st shift, Mon-Fri, 7:30am-4:30pm
Hourly Rate: $25.00-27.00

Overview: Plan materials to ensure parts are available on the production line when needed while maintaining appropriate inventory levels

Job Duties:

• Responsible for achieving corporate supply chain performance targets focused on inventory reduction, increased inventory turns, and improved order‐to‐delivery results
• Ensure clean signal to supplier on part requirements (qty, date, priority within facility)
• Determine appropriate stocking strategies for each part (Plan for Every Part ‐ PFEP)
• Work PO Exception Messages in a timely fashion to ensure material is delivered to our requirements
• Work directly with Supply base on follow up and expediting. Host supplier schedule reviews, as required
• Analyze value stream supply chain constraints and deploy corrective action

Qualifications: 

• College or university degree related to Supply Chain, or equivalent experience is preferred
• Experience in Materials Planning & Inventory Control
• Understanding of manufacturing and operations standard processes and basic product knowledge
• Knowledge of standard supply chain systems
• Strong collaborative, interpersonal, and communication skills to effectively work across functions to perform work deploying supply chain improvements

• Manage end-to-end processing of customer orders, including order entry, documentation, and record maintenance
• Review customer purchase orders for pricing, terms, and accuracy
• Enter and maintain order data within ERP and CRM systems
• Monitor open orders and proactively address late or at-risk orders
• Coordinate with Sales, Production, Supply Chain, Shipping, and Accounting
• Process order changes, cancellations, blanket releases, returns, and credits
• Serve as a primary contact for order status, tracking, and delivery inquiries
• Support inventory planning and assist with administrative and documentation needs

• Experience working in order management, customer service, or supply chain within a manufacturing environment
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Comfortable working with ERP/CRM systems (manufacturing ERP preferred)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work cross-functionally

• Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience
• 5+ years of customer service or order processing experience, preferably in manufacturing
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

• On-site role in a fast-paced manufacturing setting
• Regular interaction with internal and external customers
• PPE required when in manufacturing areas (safety glasses, steel-toe shoes)
• May involve standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 lbs as needed
