Welding Inspector
Job Description
Location: Baltimore, Maryland
Hire Type: Contract (6–9 months)
Salary: $30–$40/hr + Per Diem (GSA rate if 75+ miles from site)

- Perform visual weld inspections in the field for compliance with applicable codes and specifications.
- Verify WPS/WPQR documentation and identify welding defects.
- Coordinate or witness NDE activities and document results.
- Participate in daily safety briefings and maintain inspection reports.
- Support quality and compliance follow-ups with the construction team.
- AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) or CPWI equivalent.
- Experience supporting natural gas distribution projects.
- Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory record and reliable transportation.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills; comfortable in field environments.
- Advanced welding inspection certifications preferred.
