Value Stream Leader
Job Description
- Ensure all team members follow safety protocols and wear personal protective gear.
- Oversee on-time production and quality standards to meet customer requirements.
- Facilitate seamless shift transitions for continuous productivity.
- Provide necessary tools, fixtures, and manufacturing supplies for quality production.
- Maintain and calibrate tools monthly to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Keep the shop floor organized and presentable for customer visits.
- Monitor daily performance metrics and adherence to production schedules.
- Manage overtime strategically to meet production goals while optimizing costs.
- Communicate resource needs to leadership as necessary.
- Lead weekly productivity meetings and distribute performance scorecards.
- Ensure production aligns with annual revenue and gross margin targets.
- Work with the Training Leader to develop skill training plans for team members.
- Utilize a structured five-step problem-solving system to address issues.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of manufacturing experience with responsibilities in inventory control, IT systems, quality management, purchasing, production control, and engineering.
- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing processes.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Experience in metal fabrication preferred.
- Excellent communication, prioritization, and multitasking skills.
- Strong emotional intelligence and leadership abilities.
