- Strategy & Vision: Define and execute the global quality roadmap in alignment with business goals. Serve as the voice of quality at the executive table.
- Team Development: Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing, cross-functional quality team across operations, engineering, and support functions.
- Continuous Improvement: Champion lean principles and Six Sigma methodologies to drive measurable improvements in product quality, process efficiency, and customer outcomes.
- Operational Excellence: Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, and Supply Chain to ensure processes are optimized for quality and compliance.
- Customer Focus: Serve as a point of contact for key customer quality engagements, ensuring timely resolution of issues and proactive quality planning.
- Compliance & Standards: Ensure compliance with industry standards, customer requirements, and regulatory mandates (ISO, AAR, etc.).
- Metrics & Reporting: Establish and track KPIs to monitor and report quality performance, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or related field (Master’s or MBA preferred)
- 10+ years of progressive quality leadership in manufacturing, preferably in the rail, heavy industrial, or transportation sectors
- Proven success leading quality and continuous improvement initiatives across complex, multi-site operations
- Strong knowledge of ISO standards, Lean/Six Sigma (certification strongly preferred), and quality management systems
- Excellent leadership, communication, and change management skills
- Strategic mindset with the ability to operate tactically when needed
