Overview
We are seeking a TA Support Engineer with strong turnaround and field experience to join our team. This role will play a key part in planning, reviewing, and executing turnaround projects with a focus on piping and fixed equipment reliability.
Ideal candidates will bring a Mechanical or Civil Engineering background, hands-on field experience, and proven expertise in turnaround processes.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in reliability review processes for turnaround projects.
  • Support fixed equipment scope development and obtain approvals in line with company procedures.
  • Prepare RFQ packages for engineered equipment and coordinate with Procurement to optimize cost savings.
  • Analyze exchanger and pressure vessel flanges per ASME Section VIII and WRC 538; recommend gasket modifications and create assembly sheets.
  • Deliver fixed equipment project milestones on time, including flange calculations, engineered designs, and MOCs.
  • Contribute to turnaround improvement initiatives such as AP Networks exercises, risk registers, and lessons learned.
  • Create clear documentation and provide training to support engineers, operations, maintenance, and quality teams.
  • Conduct field reviews and approvals of specialty fixed equipment (e.g., exchanger components, gaskets) within prescribed deadlines.
 
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering preferred.
  • Proven turnaround experience (required).
  • Hands-on field experience with fixed equipment.
  • Strong technical knowledge of piping, pressure vessels, and reliability programs.
  • Excellent communication and training skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office and engineering software.
