Job Description
Location: Corpus Christi, TX
- This role required being a US citizen, working on gov. contracts, and requiring a TWIC card.
- Supplier Sourcing and Selection: Research and identify potential suppliers of turnaround related equipment and materials. Obtain competitive quotes and analyze cost structures to achieve cost savings without compromising quality.
- Purchase Order Processing: Prepare and process purchase orders in accordance with company policies and procedures. Ensure accuracy of order details, quantities, pricing, and delivery schedules. Expedite purchase orders to ensure timely delivery.
- Quality Assurance: Work closely with turnaround and quality assurance teams to establish and enforce quality standards for purchased equipment.
- Business, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience), or 3+ years of experience in Procurement/purchasing within a refinery or Oil AND Gas setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective alignment with the Turnaround Team, including planners, material coordinators and Turnaround Managers.
- Proficiency in using procurement software and tools. (SAP)
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
- Problem-solving skills to address procurement and supplier-related challenges.
