Sterling Engineering is searching for a Machine Operator for a leading designer and manufacturer of innovative packaging solutions, serving a wide range of industries. This role supports daily production operations while ensuring safety, quality, and food compliance standards are consistently met.
Job Duties:
- Operate and monitor assigned production lines to meet daily production and quality standards
- Communicate with prior shift operators regarding equipment performance and issues
- Adjust machinery, perform preventative maintenance, and document equipment changes
- Conduct quality checks on containers and maintain accurate production documentation
- Monitor raw material levels and maintain clean, organized work areas
- Follow all safety protocols, wear required PPE, and maintain housekeeping standards
- Support food safety compliance by ensuring sanitary conditions and reporting issues
- Work assigned shifts, including overtime and after-hours meetings as needed
- Perform additional duties as assigned by supervision
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- 1–2 years of manufacturing, plastics, or packaging experience preferred
- Basic computer skills required
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work on concrete floors for extended periods
