Job Title: Maintenance Technician (3rd Shift)
Location: South Holland, IL
Hire Type: Direct Hire, Onsite
Target Pay Rate: Starts at $32/hour (increase after 30 days) + incentives and shift differential

Must-Have Skills:
  • 3–5+ years of industrial maintenance experience
  • Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, AC drives, VFDs, and PLCs
  • Ability to perform preventive and predictive maintenance
  • Ability to work 3rd shift (10:00 PM – 6:30 AM), including weekends
 
Job Summary:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing production equipment, as well as maintaining building facilities and grounds. This role supports a wide range of systems including HVAC, boilers, air compressors, ammonia refrigeration systems, and processing/packaging equipment to ensure safe and efficient plant operations.
 
Job Duties:
  • Troubleshoot and repair plant machinery using electrical and mechanical skillsets
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on equipment
  • Minimize downtime by completing repairs and part replacements efficiently
  • Fabricate repair parts by machining to specifications as needed
  • Support production teams by providing maintenance guidance and responding to requests
  • Maintain technical knowledge through training and skill development
  • Ensure compliance with all safety procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
 
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with GMP, HACCP, and USDA regulations
  • Bilingual capabilities are preferred.
 
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift 40+ pounds regularly
  • Ability to work in extreme temperature environments
  • Frequent use of hand and power tools
  • Ability to climb, crouch, kneel, and crawl as needed to service equipment
