Job Description

Title: Maintenance Mechanic (Machinery - 2nd Shift)

Hourly Pay: $30hr - $35hr (based on experience) 

Hours/Shift: 2nd Shift - 9pm - 7:30am 

Location: Vernon, WI 53189

Hire Type: Direct Hire, full-time

Job Duties:
  • Perform repairs, maintenance, and modifications on a variety of machinery and production equipment with minimal supervision.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues, disassemble and inspect injection molding machine components, and assist senior mechanics with complex repairs.
  • Align and install precision components such as drives, bearings, and other mechanical systems to ensure proper machine operation.
  • Set up and install molding machines and auxiliary equipment, ensuring optimal alignment and functionality.
  • Use precision measuring tools to check machine performance, alignment, and part fit.
  • Assist contractors and senior mechanics with major equipment installations, plant expansions, and large-scale rebuilds.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs independently, with additional guidance for more extensive or critical projects such as rebuilding injection molding presses.

Qualifications:
  • Experience with machinery maintenance, preferably in an injection molding or manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical failures, including reading schematics and technical documentation.
