Sterling Engineering is seeking a skilled Gauge Technician with a leading manufacturing company in Bartlett, IL. This role is essential in supporting production quality through precise management, calibration, and maintenance of mechanical and electrical measurement devices.

Job Duties:
  • Procure measurement devices as requested by Quality, Engineering, or Manufacturing teams.
  • Interpret engineering drawings to define appropriate device class.
  • Assign unique identification numbers and physically tag devices.
  • Set up devices for production floor use in accordance with established procedures.
  • Repair and troubleshoot measurement devices as needed.
  • Assist in defining measurement methods for non-standard requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of device location and status.
  • Issue calibrated devices to manufacturing before production starts.
  • Perform verification and calibration of devices at required intervals.
  • Document calibration and verification results following company procedures.
  • Report non-conforming devices to appropriate personnel for resolution.
  • Follow all established safety protocols relevant to calibration and maintenance tasks.
Qualifications:
  • One-year certificate from a college or technical school, or
  • Three to six months of related experience and/or training, or
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
  • Hands-on mechanical and/or electrical troubleshooting skills
