Title: Electro - Mechanical Technician
Location: Summit, IL
Shift & Hours: 3rd Shift (11:00 PM – 7:00 AM CST, Monday–Friday)
Pay Rate: $40hr - $47hr

Summary:
The Electro Mechanical Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of all machines and production line equipment in a food manufacturing environment. This position combines troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and repair responsibilities with opportunities to support process improvements and special projects.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, plan, and perform all operations necessary to install, modify, troubleshoot, repair, overhaul, rebuild, and dismantle various types of complex manufacturing and support equipment.
- Focus on troubleshooting control systems, servo drives, and motors on high-speed packaging lines.
- Perform preventive maintenance and proactive monitoring of equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair pneumatic systems, mechanical drive systems, Allen Bradley PLCs (RSLinx), process control instrumentation, 3-phase (480V) circuits, motor starters, and controls.
- Partner with technicians, production staff, engineering, and management to plan and execute maintenance activities.
- Train and coach operators and maintenance associates to support production goals.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, FDA, EPA, and company policies.
- Support other maintenance technicians as needed.
- Identify and drive opportunities for maintenance and process improvement.
Requirements:
- 2–3 years Electro/Mechanical experience in an automated manufacturing environment.
- Minimum 1 year of troubleshooting and repair experience with pneumatic control systems, Allen Bradley PLCs, RSLinx, instrumentation, 480V circuits, motor controls, and circuit boards (preferred).
- 2+ years of experience working with high-paced automation and packaging equipment.
- Basic knowledge of industrial electrical systems is beneficial.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
- Experience with Allen Bradley software is a plus.
