Electrician
Job Description
Location: East Dallas, TX
Rate: $35-$40/hr
Terms: 6-month contract to direct hire w. full benefits, PTO, holidays, etc.
The primary purpose of the Electrician role is to assist with and install retail and commercial solar energy systems in accordance with company quality standards and all applicable industry and safety requirements, while delivering a professional and positive customer experience.
- Ensure all installations are completed safely and in compliance with company safety policies and procedures.
- Identify and report hazards or incidents to the appropriate safety representative.
- Participate in safety inspections, audits, and investigations as required.
- Conduct Job Site Assessments (JSA) / daily toolbox meetings and return required documentation as directed.
- Always wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure PPE, ladders, tools, and safety equipment are properly used and maintained.
- Perform regular safety checks on vehicles, tools, and equipment used on-site.
- Represent the company professionally when working with customers.
- Assist with the installation of solar systems on time, within scope, and in compliance with:
- Industry standards
- Electrical regulations
- Manufacturer specifications
- Company quality standards
- Ensure each job site is left clean, orderly, and customer-ready.
- Communicate respectfully and clearly with customers to support a positive installation experience.
- Maintain responsibility for the security and care of assigned inventory and equipment.
- Return unused inventory to the warehouse or designated storage as required.
- Maintain tools, vehicles, and equipment in proper working condition.
- Associate’s degree in a related field OR 5+ year of experience
- Must be experienced with PDUs/Switchgears
- Journeyman experience or the completion of an apprenticeship program.
- Knowledge of electrical systems, hand tools, and industrial equipment.
- Awareness of national, state, and local electrical codes and regulations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Motivated self-starter who can manage projects and make decisions.
- Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and other technical documents.
- Willing to perform physically demanding tasks, such as lift heavy objects, climbing ladders, crawling, etc
