Stationary Engineering | Night Shift
Job Description
Location: Cicero, IL
- Operate, monitor, and maintain plant utility equipment, including boilers, chillers, air compressors, and related systems
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance
- Identify, diagnose, and resolve mechanical or system issues efficiently
- Maintain detailed records of system performance, maintenance activities, and inspections
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with maintenance and production personnel to support operational needs
- Respond promptly to utility-related emergencies to minimize operational disruptions
- Active Chicago Stationary Engineer License
- Prior experience supporting boilers and plant utility systems in an industrial or manufacturing environment
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work a rotating shift schedule
- Experience in a union setting is a plus
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and operational reliability
