Hire Type: Onsite, Contract (est. 2-3 months)
Target Pay Range: $28.00 - $34.00/hour
Work Schedule:  Monday - Friday, 2nd shift (start time is flexible)

Job Summary: 
Seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to support 2nd shift operations for a global leader in dental instrument manufacturing at our Chicago facility. This is a short-term contract role covering an employee on temporary leave.  This role requires hands-on mechanical expertise and experience with preventative maintenance. You'll be a key part of keeping the production floor running smoothly, ensuring that machines and systems are maintained, repaired, and fully operational.

Job Duties:
  • Perform preventative maintenance (PMs) on production and facility equipment.
  • Conduct mechanical repairs and troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
  • Change out motors, belts, gears, bearings, and other mechanical components.
  • Bend conduit and assist with basic electrical work, if needed.
  • Work independently and efficiently during the 2nd shift to maintain critical operations.

Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work independently.
  • Experience performing PMs and working with motors and mechanical systems.
  • Electrical or conduit-bending experience is a strong plus.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to hit the ground running.
