Pay: 26-29/hr.
The Metal Technician is responsible for operating the roll former, stamping press, and powder coating line on 3rd shift. This is a hands-on mechanical role focused on meeting productivity, quality, safety, and housekeeping standards. The position requires strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Overtime on weekends may be required based on production schedules.
Job Duties:
• Set up and operate progressive stamping presses.
• Set up and operate roll forming lines and related production machinery.
• Set up and operate powder coating systems, including wash line and oven.
• Read and interpret blueprints.
• Set up tooling, load programs, and adjust machine parameters for optimal performance.
• Test-run new roll form tooling and generate sample parts; identify improvement opportunities.
• Operate overhead crane to handle raw materials and load equipment.
• Inspect and maintain tooling; clean, rework, and verify coolant levels.
• Work effectively in a fast-paced environment and report productivity.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Prepare upcoming jobs to minimize changeover time.
• Safely operate a variety of hand tools.
• Use measurement tools and convert fractions/decimals accurately.
• Set up presses and downstream equipment to meet quality and safety standards.
