Location: Pleasant Prairie, WI 53158
Hire Type: Direct Hire
Salary Range: $85,000 - $115,000 per year
Must Haves: Experience with PLC programming and technical support in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
 
Summary: A leading manufacturing organization is seeking a dedicated Technical Services Manager to oversee the technical services department. This individual will be responsible for managing technical standards, quality control, and providing engineering support to meet the company's operational needs. Job Functions:
  • Manage and supervise a team within the Technical Services and Warranty areas.
  • Ensure the team is well-trained, motivated, and productive.
  • Carry out responsibilities in compliance with company policies, including performance reviews, hiring, and disciplinary actions
  • Perform engineering reviews of design documentation to ensure compliance with stated requirements.
  • Document and maintain data from technical service activities, adhering to company policies.
  • Communicate significant technical issues and provide recommendations for improvements.
  • Prepare and deliver technical reports and presentations to both management and team members.
  • Review department training needs and assist in budget formulation for the technical services team.
  • Develop and conduct training sessions on technical processes.
  • Oversee technical activities and ensure safe and efficient practices are followed.
  • Collaborate with engineers to ensure product quality throughout its lifecycle.
  • Apply Statistical Process Control (SPC) methods to analyze and evaluate production processes.
  • Stay up to date on industry quality standards and codes
 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field (Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering) or equivalent experience.
  • 7-10 years of experience in technical services or a related field, with specific exposure to quality management in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven leadership experience (3-5 years) in managing teams and technical projects.
  • Strong technical knowledge, with an ability to analyze mechanical, electrical, and PLC-related processes.
  • Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with experience preparing and presenting technical material.
