Job Description
Location: Onsite
Contract (6–8 months, potential extension)
Shift: 1st Shift
Pay: $35–$40 per hour

• Collaborate with subject matter experts across reliability, engineering, quality, and manufacturing departments
• Gather technical information through interviews, observation, and research
• Develop new procedures from scratch using reference materials and existing documentation
• Review and standardize documentation to ensure consistency in formatting, tone, and clarity
• Incorporate technical drawings, diagrams, and visuals into documentation
• Update documentation to reflect process improvements and changes
• Ensure documentation meets end-user needs and supports operational efficiency
• Edit and revise content for accuracy, completeness, and usability
• Maintain organized document control and version management
• Support continuous improvement initiatives through documentation updates
• Work cross-functionally to ensure procedures align with manufacturing processes
• Bachelor’s degree in English, Technical Communication, Journalism, Engineering, or related field preferred
• 2+ years of technical writing experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
• Experience creating work instructions and standard operating procedures
• Ability to understand technical drawings and engineering documentation
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work with cross-functional teams
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
• Ability to learn complex technical subject matter quickly
• Experience in medical device or regulated manufacturing environment is a plus
