Team Lead Injection Mold ( 2nd shift)
Job Description
- Install and remove injection molds and tooling for machines ranging from 17 to 400 tons.
- Load production cycles from machine memory and troubleshoot any issues as needed.
- Perform material changes, including handling material grinders, loaders, and filters.
- Operate and set up auxiliary equipment such as thermolators, sprue pickers, conveyors, dryers, and grinders.
- Optimize machine processes to enhance product quality and improve cycle times.
- Operate lift trucks and fork trucks as necessary for the production process.
- Oversee quality control for the assigned shift, ensuring adherence to specifications.
- Apply knowledge of injection molding plastics to manage machine processes and ensure proper material drying.
- Package finished products, apply correct labels, and date-code packaging.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
- Communicate effectively in English, including reading, writing, and comprehension.
- Follow ISO procedures and assist in audits or quality reviews as required.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as Engineering, Mold Repair, and Machine Maintenance, to resolve technical issues.
Qualifications:
- Experience in a plastics manufacturing environment is preferred.
- High school diploma or GED.
