Title: Survey Technician 
Location: Williamsport, PA  
Hire Type: Contract to direct Hire 
Shift/Hours: 1st, 8am - 5pm (Mon-Fri)
Pay Rate- $30-40/hr

About the Opportunity:
Sterling Engineering's 20+ year client, a leading Civil Engineering Firm, is looking for a Survey Technician to join their organization. This is a stable company whom has been a leader in their market for over 50 years with a diverse book of business in all industries setting them up for stability and growth. 
 
Job Duties:
    • This position will support soil erosion construction inspections for natural gas main replacement projects.
    • Utilize GPS Equipment to conduct topographical surveys. 
    • Utilize AutoCAD to render drafts with data collected from the field.
    • Collaborate with project managers, Coordinators, etc. to manage expectations and deliver results according to client standards. 

 Qualifications:
  • Minimum – maximum years of experience:  
    • 2+ years of prior, relevant field or office work experience
    • Must have topographic surveying experience
    • Familiar with GPS Equipment
    • Proven ability to work independently
    • Understand Safety Concerns & Required PPE
    • Valis State Driver’s license must have a safe driving record
    • Drafting and Design experience preferred
  • Desired Certifications/Education: 
    • Drafting certification or equivalent experience
    • Certified or willingness to become a certified SESC Field Inspector
