Our client is a leading engineering services firm located in the western suburbs of Chicago, IL that specializes in serving the communities we work and live in. Due to their commitment to excellence, solid client relationships, and industry leading technical expertise, they are rapidly growing. They are seeking a Project Manager in their Surveying Group. The successful candidate must demonstrate strong communication and problem-solving skills along with the ability to work well with a team. 

Responsibilities Include:
  • Leadership skills and team member oversight.
  • Participate in business development with current and new clients. 
  • Develop accurate budgets and proposals.
  • Direct and manage personnel assigned to the survey group.
  • Track costs and upkeep project budgets. 
  • Managing multiple large projects at the same time.
  • Plat creation, boundary calculations, and oversight. 
  • Research public records both online and at the recorder’s office.
Qualifications: 
  • Be a licensed Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) with a minimum of ten (10) years of experience working as a land surveyor in the State of Illinois.
  • Have a strong working knowledge of AutoCAD, MicroStation, and Trimble Business Center. 
  • Be able to operate Trimble robotic total station and Trimble GPS equipment. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Have a valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to multitask, adhere to timelines, and remain focused.
