Supply Chain Engineer (Mechanical/Industrial Engineering)
Job Description
- Develop cost-effective components and new suppliers by evaluating costs and seeking economical alternatives.
- Document activities during the component development stage, perform tests for performance analysis, and document results.
- Lead product changes and improvements as needed.
- Build and maintain strong relationships within the supply chain engineering field.
- Collaborate with finance, procurement, and manufacturing teams to select the best vendors and distributors.
- Manage projects from start to finish, including budgeting, scheduling, goal setting, and creating timelines.
- Establish and maintain quality control measures to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Industrial or Mechanical), Logistics, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
- Experience leading continuous improvement; Lean Six Sigma certification is strongly preferred.
- This position offers a hybrid work arrangement with an expected 2/3 or 3/2 days split, depending on the agreement.
- Candidates within a 2-3 hour drive from Alexandria are preferred. Mileage and local hotel stays will be covered as needed.
