Company Overview: We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Superintendent/Site Engineer to join our team. This position plays a critical role in overseeing and managing aspects of a Greenfield project, ensuring the successful implementation at the construction site. Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and manage the entire project's contracted work in the field, ensuring compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and safety guidelines.
• Supervise sub-contractors and craft workers to ensure efficient and profitable work execution within the scope of contract documents and in accordance with engineering principles, codes of practice, and regulations.
• Act as the main technical adviser on the construction site for subcontractors, craftspeople, and operatives.
• Verify accuracy of plans, drawings, and quantities, ensuring adherence to specifications.
• Monitor and interpret contract design documents and coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, and the general workforce involved in the project.
• Oversee onsite functions such as scheduling, engineering, and material control, coordinating with administrative staff as required.
• Manage the site labor force, subcontractors, and conduct regular meetings to review progress and plan work.
• Track labor costs, productivity, and report on a weekly basis.
• Ensure compliance with quality control and safety regulations on-site, resolving any technical difficulties or problems that may arise.
• Perform additional assignments as directed by the supervisor.

Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED required, with 10-15 years of experience as a Superintendent/Site Engineer on similar projects.
• A four-year degree in Building Science, Construction Management, or Engineering is a plus, but not required.
• Strong leadership, management, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in computer applications such as MS Word, Excel, and Project.
• Experience in scheduling and ability to manage resources effectively.
• Knowledge of construction materials, methods, and tools, particularly in high-rise buildings and concrete construction.
• Familiarity with city codes, safety requirements, permitting procedures, and LEED site management.
• Understanding of engineering science and technology, as well as design techniques and principles.
• Knowledge of the English language (knowledge of Japanese is a plus).
