Hire Type: Contract to Hire

Responsibilities
- Perform structural analyses of cranes, equipment, tooling and structures to be used in the operation of nuclear and industrial facilities.
- Verify structural adequacy of crane supporting structures.
- Qualify the equipment and structures to handle extreme environmental conditions such as earthquake and tornado loads.
- Make safety related decisions for engineered lifts involving handling of loads beyond the capacity of equipment.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors in Structural, Mechanical or Civil Engineering.
- Must have a working knowledge of AISC/AWS standards.
- Knowledge of MathCAD and Ansys.
- Must be able to travel both domestically and internationally.
Preferred Qualifications
- Masters in Structural, Mechanical or Civil Engineering.
- Passed FE Exam.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and Solidworks.
- Experience with finite element analysis of large structures.
- Ability to climb stairs or ladders on cranes to inspect cranes and/or take measurements.
- This is a safety-sensitive position
