Job Description
Location: Houston, TX (Hybrid Preferred) | Remote Considered
Hire Type: Contract-to-Hire (Houston Area Candidates) | Long-Term Contract (Remote Candidates)

- Develop structural design drawings and models utilizing AutoCAD and SP3D/S3D.
- Support project teams in a positive and productive manner while meeting project deadlines.
- Prepare structural design deliverables in accordance with project requirements, codes, and industry standards.
- Perform design revisions and incorporate changes as needed throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate with engineers, designers, and other disciplines to ensure design accuracy and constructability.
- Apply applicable codes, standards, and design practices to project assignments.
- Communicate project status and technical information effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- Associate degree preferred, or High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
- 2+ years of structural or civil/structural design experience.
- Experience with AutoCAD is required.
- Experience with SP3D (SmartPlant 3D) and/or S3D is required.
- Ability to work with limited supervision on routine assignments and detailed instruction on new assignments.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of structural drafting and design principles.
- Experience supporting industrial, infrastructure, energy, or engineering projects is preferred.
- Structural Designer II: 2-4 years of experience
- Structural Designer III: 4-10 years of experience
- Structural Designer IV: 10-15 years of experience
