Job Description

Sterling Engineering is a growing staffing and engineering services firm that specializes in placing top talent in the U.S and Ireland. We have partnered with a growing company in the energy space on bringing on a Staff Accountant to join their team. This person will work cross-functional and will have their hand in various accounting aspects. 

Overview of Role:

  • Maintain general ledger accounts and related activities for the production of financial statements and reports.
  • Reconcile, analyze and review general ledger accounts in preparation for month end close.
  • Prepare journal entries and reviews accounting classifications, in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Prepare documentation in support of external and internal audits.
  • Perform ad hoc reporting and analysis

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • At least one year of accounting experience
  • Ability to interpret and analyze financial statements and periodicals
  • Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
