Location: Elmhurst, IL
Hire Type: Direct Hire (100% onsite)

Compensation: $70-85K yrly

Overview:

Are you an accounting professional looking to expand your experience beyond the basics? We're seeking a Staff Accountant who is eager to take ownership of key accounting functions while building a long-term career with a collaborative and growing organization.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 2-4 years of accounting experience who enjoys variety, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and wants to develop into a Senior Accountant.

Job Duties:  

  • Manage daily Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activities
  • Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, amortizations, and reclassifications
  • Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
  • Perform bank, credit card, and balance sheet account reconciliations
  • Review shipment activity and resolve billing discrepancies
  • Process vendor invoices, reconcile vendor statements, and resolve payment issues
  • Generate customer invoices and apply incoming payments
  • Support audits, special projects, and continuous process improvements

Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • 2-4 years of accounting experience in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, or General Accounting
  • Manufacturing or supply chain experience is a plus
  • Strong understanding of GAAP
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, formulas)
