Location: Atchison, KS – 100% Onsite

Overview: Sterling Engineering / Staffing is currently looking for a Staff Accountant for one of our clients in the Atchison, KS area. Sterling has a rich history of delivering top talent to our clients. We are a nationwide Staffing Firm with over 100 clients and works primarily with Fortune 1000 corporations.
 
Job Description:
  • Contract Position in the Accounting Department (3 people team)
  • Core Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday (Leave early on Friday's)
  • 100% Onsite to start with and can be flexible
  • Office Position, but may go on the shop floor to get an accurate count of materials
 
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Journal entries, general ledger, and income statements
  • Daily production reconciliation and reporting
  • Daily uptime calculation and reporting
  • Daily metrics reporting
  • Weekly production planning and reporting
  • Weekly steel stats, backlog, and scap recording
    • Count the bundles of steel and scrap
  • Microsoft Office (MS Excel)
  • Softwares: Infor LN preferred and Coupa preferred
  • Basic Accounting knowledge (Courses in school preferred in Cost Accounting)
