Job Title: Sr. Operations Manager
Location: Swedesboro, NJ

Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Operations Manager to oversee the manufacturing activities and processes of our production and packing lines. This role requires 5-10 years of experience in the bakery, baked goods and/or bread (bread is highly preferred) space.
Responsibilities:
- Perform continuous improvement reviews to enhance production efficiency.
- Collaborate with management and team to analyze production runs and recommend improvements.
- Create and maintain production schedules, authorizing schedule changes and substituting materials as needed.
- Incorporate new customer orders into the production process promptly.
- Analyze and reduce scrap levels to meet efficiency targets.
- Ensure proper functioning of mechanical equipment.
- Collaborate with internal resources such as Human Resources, Quality, and Maintenance.
- Authorize/manage ad hoc staffing as needed.
- Review variance analyses and evaluate performance against standards and budget.
- Analyze causes of variances and implement procedures to improve performance.
- Ensure continuous readiness for Plant and food safety audits.
- Conduct internal readiness audits to meet industry standards.
- Foster cooperation and goal achievement among departmental staff.
- Ensure consistent interpretation and application of policies and procedures.
- Set standards for safety and ensure adherence to accident/loss prevention and security policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned or required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
- 5-7 years of manufacturing experience, including supervisory experience.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
- Good presentation skills.
- Proficient in Excel, Word, and SAP inventory applications.
- Manufacturing experience in the baking industry preferred.
- Experience in handling dough, sheeting, and freezer operations preferred.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
