Job Description
Title: Sr. Mechanical Engineer
Location: Downers Grove, IL
Hire Type: Direct hire
Compensation: 130-150K

• Lead the design and development of mechanical systems for various project types across commercial, industrial, and specialty environments
• Oversee mechanical system designs from conceptual development through final documentation and project turnover
• Apply knowledge of industry codes, standards, and best practices in mechanical system design
• Perform mechanical load calculations using approved engineering methodologies
• Coordinate with internal and external project stakeholders to ensure design alignment with project goals and client expectations
• Prepare design, permit, and construction documentation using 3D modeling tools such as Revit and/or AutoCAD
• Contribute to project planning and conceptual design efforts, including support for project proposals and early-stage engineering activities
• Support construction activities by reviewing RFIs, submittals, and addressing field issues as needed
• Participate in the development and refinement of internal standards, processes, and training programs
• 7–20 years of experience in mechanical system design
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related discipline
• Proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD
• Strong understanding of relevant codes, standards, and mechanical system design principles
