- Review customer specifications and requirements to establish system layouts for approval
- Design electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems for machinery based on functional requirements
- Utilize Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems to specify part purchasing and manufacturing
- Generate comprehensive documentation for purchasing, assembly, and customer manuals
- Collaborate with manufacturing, field service, sales, and purchasing teams, providing technical expertise and receiving valuable feedback
- Manage technical relationships with electrical panel builders and other suppliers
- Maintain a schedule for assigned tasks and integrate effectively with the design team
- Drive innovation by incorporating lessons learned from previous machines into forward-thinking designs
- Bachelor's degree in electrical or system engineering or equivalent in work experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial machinery design
- Proficiency in Computer Aided Design (CAD), preferably Autodesk products (AutoCAD Electrical)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to commute to Sussex, WI
- Must have authorization to work in the US without sponsorship
