Responsbilities
- Develop comprehensive preliminary electrical designs to support design/build projects across multiple project types.
- Design and specify electrical power systems, including load calculations, one-line diagrams, equipment sizing and selection, equipment layouts, lighting photometric analyses, and system controls.
- Provide direction for electrical design on projects and collaborate with a nationwide network of design consultants to ensure successful project delivery.
- Conduct arc flash and coordination studies using SKM PowerTools.
- Work closely with the team to procure building switchgear, generators, UPS systems, and other electrical components directly from suppliers.
- Play a key role in delivering turnkey power solutions for clients, including supporting business development activities by identifying solutions to complex challenges.
- Perform value engineering reviews and propose alternative design options to optimize cost efficiency and improve project execution.
- Serve as the electrical subject matter expert, interfacing with clients, contractors, and vendors on technical matters.
- Demonstrate integrity and professionalism while supporting company values, maintaining strong relationships, and consistently meeting or exceeding client expectations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- 7–20 years of experience in electrical engineering and/or electrical design.
- Proficiency with BIM tools preferred, including Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks.
- Familiarity with electrical engineering software such as ETAP and SKM.
