Title: Electrical Design Engineer
Location: St. Charles, IL
Hire Type: Direct Hire
Salary: $85K-125K/YR
Must have: Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering 
 
Job Duties:
  • Develop new electronic product designs based on customer requests or internal initiatives.
  • Understand and adapt to customer procedures to meet their requirements.
  • Implement new designs into production by creating and following through on the entire development process.
  • Assist the Quality Department in analyzing warranty and other customer returns.
  • Collaborate with leadership to set long-term and short-term goals for both individual and departmental growth.
  • Ensure timely delivery of product development milestones.
  • Prepare detailed schematics and layouts for products or systems as needed.
  • Analyze test data and reports to determine if designs meet functional and performance specifications.
  • Maintain engineering contact with customers as needed throughout the program, including managing program timelines and technical development.
  • Liaise with suppliers for quotes, specifications, and samples.
  • Research and recommend design improvements for current products, ensuring all specifications are met.

  Qualifications:
  • 10+ Years Electrical Design Engineering (Switches experience)
  • Knowledge of automotive switch electrical design.
  • Knowledge of LED lighting
  • Knowledge of microprocessors, voltage regulators, PTC's, relays, and power electronics.
  • Work with component suppliers to choose parts.
  • Schematic capture and bill of material generation with Altium
  • Use Mathcad and PSPICE tools for worse case analysis
  • Familiar with DFMEA's.
