Job Duties:
  • Spearhead strategic, technical projects and tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Serve as a technical authority and subject matter expert for UHT processing, product quality, and equipment reliability.
  • Engineer sustainable solutions through continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Collaborate with technical teams, maintenance, and operations to troubleshoot and resolve recurring issues.
  • Reverse engineer critical equipment components, ensuring quality parts are manufactured to specifications.
  • Lead the planning, implementation, and management of processing technical projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and stakeholder communication.
  • Coordinate and monitor the work of maintenance and processing departments, identifying root causes and implementing improvements.
  • Foster a continuous improvement culture across all departments, utilizing data-driven tools and fostering an innovative environment.
  • Perform additional job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience directly related to aseptic/dairy processing, including UHTs, homogenizers, separators, filtration plants, mixproof valves, motors, and pumps.
  • Proficiency in updating P&IDs, mechanical/electrical prints (CAD/SolidWorks preferred).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to make administrative and procedural decisions on sensitive, confidential issues.
  • Experience in supervising and training staff, including organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments.
  • Knowledge of PLC logic (Rockwell platform), VFDs, network switches, and computerized information systems used in quality assurance, maintenance, and ERP applications.
  • Ability to analyze and assess training and development needs.
  • Capable of understanding and utilizing engineering drawings, operating manuals, and blueprints.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift a minimum of 40 lbs., and work at elevations of 75 feet.
  • Adaptability to handle ambiguity and work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Willingness to work all shifts, including off-shifts.
  • Knowledge of USDA, State, and Federal regulations for dairy manufacturing facilities is a plus.
