Job Description
- Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Diagnose, install, and upgrade electrical, mechanical, and control systems.
- Equipment Improvement: Design and implement enhancements for improved efficiency.
- Technical Expertise: Troubleshoot robots, PLCs, motion controls, and vision applications.
- Electrical Components: Understand motors, breakers, switch gears, transformers, relays, transistors, and diodes.
- Industrial Sensors: Utilize photo eyes, proximity switches, and read switches.
- Schematics: Interpret and document electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics.
- Panel Building: Design and integrate electrical panels for industrial machines.
- Efficiency Optimization: Evaluate and improve machine efficiency and control parameters.
- Safety: Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
- Mentorship: Develop and train junior technicians.
- Documentation: Provide detailed documentation for project completion.
- Goal Alignment: Support safety, quality, and cost objectives.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience in support and installation roles.
- Education: Degree in Controls or industrial maintenance preferred, or equivalent apprenticeship.
- Technical Skills: Demonstrated mechanical aptitude, knowledge of 3-axis robotic functions, motors, valves, cylinders, bearings, pneumatics, Venturi Vacuum systems, wiring schematics, and PLC programming.
- Communication: Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration across departments.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to work efficiently and effectively under pressure, handle changing priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
- Additional Skills: Welding/cutting, forklift operation (preferred), SQL databases, solenoid and pneumatic controls, instrumentation and process monitoring, and experience with Allen Bradley, Siemens, and other legacy PLCs.
