The Turn Around Buyer holds a pivotal position in securing and acquiring top-notch equipment and materials essential for Turnarounds. This role entails identifying dependable suppliers, securing competitive prices, and guaranteeing the prompt delivery of materials, all while upholding cost-effectiveness and quality benchmarks.
Supplier Procurement and Choice
- Investigate and pinpoint potential providers of turnaround-related equipment and materials.
- Acquire competitive estimates and scrutinize cost frameworks to attain cost reductions while upholding quality standards.
Procurement Order Handling
- Formulate and handle procurement orders following company protocols and guidelines.
- Verify the precision of order particulars, quantities, pricing, and delivery timetables.
- Accelerate procurement orders to guarantee punctual delivery.
- Collaborate closely with turnaround and quality assurance teams to institute and uphold quality benchmarks for procured equipment.
- Business, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience), or
- 3+ years of experience in Procurement / purchasing within a refinery or Oil AND Gas setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective alignment with Turn Around Team, including planners, material coordinators and Turn Around Managers.
- Proficiency in using procurement software and tools. (SAP)
