Job Summary: 
Looking for Software Developer to parallelize and GPU-accelerate code used to generate synthetic galaxy data for cosmological surveys. The performance improvements obtained through this will be applied in the context of both the generation of fixed synthetic datasets, as well as the optimization of high-dimensional parameter spaces.

Job Duties:
  • Parallelizing and GPU-accelerating the software pipeline to run on the large-scale HPC resources with GPUs
  • Scaling tests demonstrating the pipeline performance
  • Documentation of the tasks above

Qualifications:
  • Master’s Degree in Computer Science (or closely related domain)
  • Experience in the field of computational cosmology
  • 1+ years of research experience directly working with cosmologists to solve computational problems
