Shop Technician – Day Shift
Job Description
Location: Bethlehem, PA 18020
Shift: Day Shift | 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM (12-hour shifts)
Hire Type: Direct Hire
Pay Range: $20–$23/hour (based on experience)
- Inspect molds and tooling for damage, wear, and overall condition
- Test molds for proper mechanical function, fit of moving parts, and water leaks
- Verify tooling accuracy using measuring instruments to ensure conformance to specifications
- Diagnose defective or damaged molds and recommend repairs or modifications
- Determine salvageability of tooling components
- Prepare tooling components for outgoing setups
- Inspect incoming molds and tooling (new and used)
- Perform preventative maintenance, including cleaning, inventory, and proper storage
- Prepare molds for shipment
- Read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and maintenance procedures
- Associate’s Degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a technical school preferred
- 6 months to 1 year of related tooling, mold, or maintenance experience preferred
- Basic electrical troubleshooting skills are a plus
- Ability to read basic electrical schematics
- Experience using a multimeter to check continuity and heaters is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a production-focused environment
