Job Summary:
Facilitates production and flow through of production parts, customer maintenance, and Mod programs. Liaison between multiple levels of Management, Customer Service, Buyer Support, and Engineering. Monitors the overall performance and recommends changes or modifications to maintain overall quality.
Job Duties:
- Monitors SMART goals, develops general strategies to achieve proposed goals
- Leads, coaches, and manages performance of facility personnel
- provides them with daily work assignments
- monitors productivity in all areas
- Performs labor reconciliations
- prepares job postings
- reviews new and completed work orders
- Records and analyzes trend data for the customer
- compares trends with staff work assignments
- Tracks assets
- Oversees and ensures facility maintenance
- Prepares information and participates in meetings with management to determine strategic objectives
- Performs supervisory administrative duties
- conducts mentoring / training
- ensures payroll is completed and correct
- conducts office admin meetings / HR / finance / scheduling
- Ensures completion of proper record keeping, including Mod, quality, production, and safety
- Manages and schedules manufacturing of products
- Implements various corporate initiatives, such as 5S, Lean Manufacturing, Drum / Buffer / Rope, etc
- Drives continuous process improvement and root cause identification
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required4
- 5+ years’ experience working in a machine tool environment
- Experience supervising a workforce maintaining work standards and task completion
- Job Shop experience in a high volume and fast paced environment
- Knowledge of and experience with ISO standards
- Focused on continuous process improvement with experience in Lean or Six Sigma
- Understanding of scheduling and manpower planning
- Experience with Fanuc and Mazak controlled CNC milling machine, welding knowledge and experience a plus
