Sterling Engineering is looking for a Shipping and Receiving Specialist for a leading manufacturer of residential and commercial water heating and treatment products. This is a great opportunity to work with a client that has great benefits!
Job Duties:
- Perform and document all shipping and receiving activities, including packaging, building freight containers, and tracking domestic and international shipments.
- Manage incoming/outgoing freight logistics and maintain invoice accuracy and timely payments.
- Oversee warehouse storage organization and maintain order in designated storage areas.
- Handle all trash and recycling logistics, including dumpster scheduling and billing.
- Conduct preventive maintenance for facility equipment (e.g., forklift, delivery van) and safety checklists.
- Support field return processing, lab tasks, and equipment procurement as needed.
- Maintain inventory and coordinate billing for high-pressure gas cylinders and cleaning supplies.
- Work with vendors to schedule and oversee building services such as snow removal, lawn care, and window washing.
- Participate in basic building maintenance tasks (e.g., drywall repair, painting, cleaning).
- Perform clerical tasks and invoice tracking using Microsoft Office Suite and (preferred) SAP/TMS systems.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- 3-5 years of relevant shipping/receiving and facility support experience
- Experience with shipping tools and ERP systems (SAP/TMS preferred)
- Comfortable working with vendors and cross-functional teams
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Valid driver’s license required
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
