Shipping and Receiving Specialist
Job Description
Location: Milwaukee, WI
Hire Type: Direct Hire
Salary: $22-$25/hr.

- Manage all domestic and international shipping and receiving, including tracking, documentation, packaging, and invoicing.
- Build freight containers and prepare outbound shipments to meet deadlines and quality standards.
- Maintain an organized and efficient storage area and manage logistics for inventory and supplies.
- Handle shipping documentation and maintain records within TMS tools and/or SAP.
- Coordinate with vendors and carriers to ensure timely pickups and deliveries.
- Oversee recycling, trash, and high-pressure gas cylinder inventory and logistics.
- Perform monthly PM checklists and basic vehicle maintenance (forklift and van).
- Assist with purchasing lab equipment and supplies; support light-duty tasks in lab environments as needed.
- Maintain shipping and receiving areas in compliance with safety and cleanliness standards.
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 3+ years of experience in a shipping, receiving, or logistics-related role
- Valid Driver’s License
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word); experience with SAP/TMS preferred
- Customer service orientation and the ability to work with internal departments and vendors
