Job Title: Field Service Technician
Location: Bolingbrook, IL (Chicagoland & parts of Indiana)
Compensation: Up to $40/hr + Company Vehicle
Join a rapidly growing Bolingbrook-based company specializing in high quality valves and actuators. Well known for its abundant growth opportunities, exceptional benefits package, and strong, people-first culture, our organization is seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to support our expanding customer base. This role includes a company car for travel throughout the Chicagoland area and parts of Indiana.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver on-site technical support, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance for customer equipment.
- Inspect, maintain, and service air compressors, air dryers, and related components to confirm proper operation.
- Accurately complete all required documentation, including service orders, work orders, contracts, and internal forms.
- Explain system functions, features, capabilities, and benefits in a clear and helpful manner to customers.
- Identify customer needs, respond to inquiries, and recommend appropriate corrective or preventive actions.
- Maintain professional appearance and conduct while providing consistently excellent customer service.
- Build rapport quickly and communicate effectively with customers and team members.
- Comply with all safety protocols, company policies, and environmental guidelines.
- Perform other related duties as required to support service operations.
Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience working with rotary screw and reciprocating air compressors, controls, and air dryers; familiarity with centrifugal compressors is a plus.
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with the ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair equipment.
- Ability to participate in a rotating on-call schedule, including 24/7 availability and some weekend shifts.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Excellent problem-solving ability paired with strong customer service and communication skills.
