Job Summary: 
Sterling Engineering's premiere client in Chicago is seeking an organized and experienced Sr Supply Chain Specialist to join their team to support Sourcing with creating and analyzing supplier information, 


Job Duties:
  • Assist the Sourcing Managers and the Sourcing Analyst with the analysis of information as needed.
  • Create and analyze supplier information database to include pricing, annual usage, material, part weight, secondary operations, etc. 
  • Extracts data from multiple sources and coordinates with suppliers.
  • Put together quote packages, quote analysis (including cost breakdown detail), assist with supplier research, and assemble requests for information.
  • Assist with putting together raw material market information and analysis.
  • Update supplier information in Oracle such as pricing, lead-times, part descriptions, and drawing revision levels
  • Documentation and training as required by the Global sourcing team 
  • Work on special projects as needed.


Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated analytical skills including development of reports preferably in a manufacturing sourcing environment.
  • Demonstrated advanced intermediate or better competence in the use of Excel, Word, and other MS Office software.
  • Experience with navigating, updating, and extracting data from an Oracle or similar ERP system.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with excellent communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred. Finance, accounting, and business majors are preferred.
