Title: Senior Sales Engineer (No Cold Calling)
Location: Madison, WI
Hire Type: Direct Hire, hourly with ability for OT 
Hourly Pay: $45hr - $55hr (Anything over 40+ years is OT) + Bonuses 
Work Type: 100% Onsite

Position Summary:
The Senior Sales Engineer will lead efforts to develop and maintain strong customer relationships, evaluate project opportunities, and align sales strategies with organizational goals. This role involves managing customer interactions, overseeing project evaluation and prioritization, and driving the sales department’s effectiveness through strategic planning and collaboration.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships, serving as the primary point of contact.
  • Assess project feasibility, align opportunities with company capabilities, and mitigate risks.
  • Develop and present project concepts, budgets, and solutions tailored to customer needs.
  • Prioritize and manage projects based on strategic value, resources, and customer timelines.
  • Drive sales strategy, manage the sales pipeline, and ensure workload stability.
  • Generate new leads through trade shows, marketing efforts, and customer outreach.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align engineering and sales efforts.
  • Provide leadership updates on sales forecasts, strategies, and market conditions.

Qualifications
  • 10+ years of technical sales experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Strong applications engineering background with customer-facing experience.
  • Understanding of costing, CapEx projects, B2B sales.
  • Ability to upsell and expand relationships.
  • Automation or relevant industry experience preferred.
  • Not responsible for concepting/design but must understand engineering processes.
