Job Summary:
The Senior Quality Engineer role involves direct customer interaction, overseeing customer quality standards, and spearheading continuous improvement initiatives. The role requires meeting customer-specific response times and implementing effective corrective and preventive actions. Additionally, this senior-level position will provide leadership within the quality organization.
Job Duties:
- Serve as a statistical expert, conducting Cpk/Ppk analysis and trend evaluations; Black Belt or Shainin Certification preferred.
- Actively participate in the creation and updates of PFMEA and QCP.
- Monitor and track Quality KPIs during launch, including CNQ, sorting fallout, and customer concerns.
- Share lessons learned with the launch team.
- Manage DMR/NCM operations.
- Facilitate problem-solving (TPS and PPS) and manage concerns on the shop floor.
- Lead CIMS projects and CNQ reduction initiatives.
- Collaborate with Product Engineering (PE) to drive product and process improvements.
- Build collaborative relationships with customers to effectively manage expectations, responsiveness, and concerns.
- Collect, organize, monitor, and communicate information and reports related to the Management System and process improvements.
- Interface with internal quality systems (LN/GQS/etc.).
- Interface with customer systems and update them as necessary.
- Perform data entry, create, file, organize, and communicate documents as required.
- Champion diversity and inclusion in line with company guidelines.
- Perform other duties as directed by the Quality Manager.

Qualifications:
- BS in an engineering-related field with 5+ years of automotive experience.
- Expertise in Minitab and Statistical Process Control (SPC).
- Knowledgeable in Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA).
- Skilled in 8D problem-solving methodology.
- Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Familiarity with quality management systems, specifically ISO/TS-16949.
- Proficient in AIAG core tools: APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plan, and SPC.
- Ability to manage and function within a multiple reporting relationship structure.
- Expertise in AIAG core tools.
