Job Description

Responsibilities: 
  • Develop and install machine programs using automation software and custom coding languages 
  • Document the programs, flowcharts, and processes required to transition products from the engineering phase to production 
  • Test products for efficiency, safety and reliability 
  • Troubleshoot system errors 
  • Oversee the successful installation of PLC programs 
  • Maintain and upgrade programs when necessary 
  • Monitor and qualify new features and opportunities 
  • Develop and maintain tools to optimize deployments and support 
  • Provide engineering support to the manufacturing floor for testing and troubleshooting of new programs and systems 
  • Troubleshoot products during test when needed 
  • Investigate and implement automation opportunities for production and testing areas 
 Educational/Experience: 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Software, Electrical, Mechanical, or a similar field) 
  • At least 5 years’ of experience programming PLCs for capital equipment
