Job Description

Sterling Engineering is partnering a growing company in the Chicagoland area on bringing in a Senior Acoustics Engineer to join their team. This person will have the opportunity to take part in hands-on projects in an acoustics lab and will also have the opportunity to collaborate with customers.

Job Overview:

• Perform acoustic testing of materials and products in support of both customer projects and product development efforts.
• Measure sound and vibration during tests.
• Prepare and install development acoustical treatments.
• Assist in coordinating acoustical testing programs.
• Prepare test reports and customer presentations.

What Is Needed?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Acoustics, or another related field.
  • 3 years working in acoustics related field.
  • Ability to take sound power, pressure, and intensity measurements, analyze data, and run related computer software.
