Job Summary:
- The Sanitation Supervisor oversees the 3rd shift Sanitation team, ensuring adherence to Food Safety standards across the facility. They assign daily tasks, enforce policies, and recommend enhancements to sanitation methods, equipment, procedures, and working conditions.
Job Duties:
- Lead and supervise hourly Sanitation employees, ensuring clear communication, training, and enforcement of company policies.
- Enforce GMPs, safety, and housekeeping standards rigorously.
- Report sanitation issues promptly to the Sanitation Manager or relevant management levels.
- Support maintenance of sanitation programs (HACCP, Allergen, etc.) in compliance with customer, government, and SQF regulations.
- Complete all sanitation-related paperwork accurately to meet applicable rules and guidelines.
- Develop Sanitation team members through effective performance management.
- Ensure proper use of sanitation chemicals in the plant.
- Foster a positive work environment that supports continuous improvement and upholds company values and policies.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a Sanitation Supervisor in a unionized food manufacturing environment (College degree in a related field preferred).
- Proficiency in GMPs, HACCP, Allergens, and SQF.
- Flexibility to work any assigned shift, including weekends and overtime.
- Thorough understanding of food manufacturing and sanitation processes, procedures, and technology.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and capacity to make informed business decisions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, and experience with ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, etc.).
- Successful completion of post-offer physical, drug, and background checks.
