Job Summary:
This is a full-time, direct-hire career opportunity with a medical equipment manufacturer.  The Sales Quote Specialist is responsible for coordinating and interpreting medical equipment specifications and requirements in order to develop quotes for project bids.  Duties include:  Preparing accurate quotes for pricing, as well as gathering information, analyzing materials, and job costing, in order to build estimates for special items.  Upon winning the bid, the sales quoter will complete the order entry, order release, and help to facilitate production.

Job Duties:
  • Supports the sales team by preparing quotes from scratch, entering orders for products into ERP System, and releasing orders into production when ready.
  • Works with Manufacturing and Product Engineering groups to understand order specifications and customer requirements. Will modify quote(s) as necessary.
  • Coordinates with the Shipping Department to provide competitive freight quotes and modifies quote(s) as necessary.
  • Provides technical assistance to our customers, distributors and salespeople regarding products, quotes, and services using established guidelines.
  • Generate cost estimates and contribution margin on standard and non-standard products.
  • Notify sales personnel regarding ongoing quote and order status in a timely and effective manner.
  • Works closely with the customers on issues with Letters of Credit, payment status, and provides timely communications with sales and operations teams.
  • Logs and maintains quote requests in a timely and effective manner.
  • Creates and forward submittals per order requirements.
  • Participates and contributes to weekly sales and operations planning meetings.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree is preferred, but will consider High School Diploma with relevant experience.
  • At least 1 year of prior experience developing product sales quotes from scratch.
  • Ability to read blueprints is desired.
  • Must possess strong mathematical skills and have an analytical mindset.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills are essential.
