Job Summary

The Strategic Account Manager reports to Norgren's Director of Sales (Direct) and is responsible for developing clear and effective strategies to gain market share for electric actuators.  
 
The focus is on market development and promotion of automation products in Food and Beverage to increase vitality. This position requires someone with a real passion for the customer and the technical side, with the customer at the center of everything, and with experience in identifying business opportunities and interacting with existing customers to increase their interest. Each day may be different but will focus on business development and execution of previously prepared strategies in a professional manner to deliver the highest level of performance. This also includes proactive visits and gaining voice of the customer input.
 
Develop and manage strategies to penetrate and improve customer market share, grow new product lines, and new and existing customer development. Implement the strategy by focusing on key customers in the food and beverage sector.   Plan and monitor short and long-term ensuring that business activities are concentrated in areas where the return on investment is highest.
 

 

Job Duties:

  • Achieve sales targets, as well as pipeline progression, new products, margins and performance indicators

  • Promote new products with a focus on the industry of the future and their associated ranges.

  • Participate in the plan to get Norgren products on the key end-user referral list and focus specifically on our distributors' key end-users.

  • Proactively find, track and convert opportunities while remaining aligned with the IMI strategy. Understand and adapt to evolving customer requirements

  • Participate in the deployment of the direct strategy by integrating sales development for assigned accounts.

  • Utilize and build a strong network and relationships, monitor trends, future needs.

  • Build/develop long term relationships, proactively manage customer relationships and identify areas for growth.

  • Use and update ERP systems. Record / track information in CRM system and any other necessary tools, to ensure the interests of customers and IMI Norgren with timely, appropriate and relevant information sharing (Visit reports, calls, opportunities, offers, leads, contacts, ADP...)

Qualifications:

  • Higher education in business or engineering or equivalent by experience.

  • Affinity with technology is a must (experience in pneumatic and electrical transmission is an asset)

  • At least 5 years of professional experience, you have a commercial fibre and an aptitude for selling technical products.
