Robotics Engineer
Job Description
Job Responsibilities:
- Configure and set up various types of robotic systems, including dispense processes, vision equipment, and material handling applications.
- Develop and optimize offline programs (OLPs) and simulations for process validations.
- Teach and configure robot components, such as TCPs, frames, loads, and safety configurations (DCS).
- Integrate and configure robot I/O and communication systems.
- Demonstrate expertise in robotic applications, including welding (spot, arc, laser), dispense (urethane, sealer, adhesive, paint), and material handling.
- Optimize robot applications to meet customer requirements and drive cycle time improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with clients, customers, and stakeholders, providing effective communication and support.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in robotics technology and industry best practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Robotics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience in robotics engineering or a similar role.
- Strong programming skills and proficiency in robotics software and simulation platforms.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to travel locally within Michigan and occasionally to other locations, such as Memphis, TN, for extended periods (typically 4 weeks at a time). Potential travel locations: Redford, MI; Kansas City, MO; Lake Orion, MI; Greer, SC; Rawsonville, MI; Tuscaloosa, AL; and Lockport, NY.
- Local travel (MI) hours: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM.
- Out-of-state travel (TN) hours: 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM.
- Pay: $35/hr-60/hr (Depending on experience)
