Job Summary:
  • The Reliability Manager plays a critical role in the Engineering Department, providing technical solutions and troubleshooting support to the Operations and Maintenance teams. They lead a small team to enhance plant performance through effective methods, controls, and strategies, emphasizing a top loss approach and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Job Duties:
  • Act as the primary troubleshooting resource for the processing department across all technical disciplines
  • Develop Operations and Maintenance teams through troubleshooting events and hands-on guidance
  • Drive the implementation of reliability improvement strategies, utilizing a poka-yoke mentality and top loss focus
  • Collaborate with plant vendors for reverse engineering critical parts/components and ensure quality part production
  • Oversee the planning and execution of capital projects, managing budgets, timelines, and project deliverables
  • Manage reliability KPIs and department goals, fostering a continuous improvement culture across all departments
  • Lead the development and installation of predictive maintenance programs in collaboration with the maintenance department
  • Conduct technical reviews, identify and prioritize reliability engineering opportunities, and implement improvement activities

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline preferred
  • 10+ years of relevant experience
  • Proficiency in updating P&IDs and mechanical/electrical prints (CAD/SolidWorks preferred)
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience in leading BDA and RCA initiatives
  • Knowledge of computerized information systems, budgeting, and fiscal management principles
  • Adept at interpreting engineering drawings and operating manuals
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and handle all shifts, including off shifts
  • Previous automation experience, aseptic/dairy background, and familiarity with consumer packaged goods preferred
  • Familiarity with USDA, State, and Federal regulations for a dairy manufacturing facility a plus.
